The Green Entrepreneur MeetUp group serving the Denver and Boulder areas announces the June 10, 2010 meeting. We are very fortunate to have Melissa Bennett present How to Use Your Energy Wisely. This meeting is organized and sponsored by Green Cleaning Products. At the meeting the new commercial line of green janitorial supplies will be available.
A bit more about our topic, How to Use Your Energy Wisely … So what is Renewable Energy? Before you go thinking on a global level, bring it closer to home. Really close.
Do you feel like life is leading you? Let us face it, entrepreneurs have a different lifestyle. The hours are different. Work can vary wildly from day to day. Working from home presents its own set of issues, such as finding us completing our green home cleaning chores. At the same time we are often at the mercy or someone else’s schedule. And our hearts are very deeply invested in our dreams.
The myth is that it is about “Time Management”. The fact is that it is about Energy Management. It is not about having a spiffy Outlook program. It is about understanding how the brain works most efficiently and effectively, and putting this information to use.
By understanding your brain better, you will become much more effective in all areas of your life including:
- Prioritizing: It’s a much trickier subject than you think, and there is a key! For instance as the owner of Green Cleaning Products do I focus on introducing green janitorial supplies to a commercial property manager or follow up with customer of the natural green cleaning products.
- Attention and Focus: Now I have it, now I do not – how to get it back
- Understanding your Future: Really fun when you understand your brain
- Insight: Yes, there is a way to prime your brain to have more of those aha moments
Melissa will discuss strategies to rewire your brain for success!
Our speaker is very accomplished and has a wealth of knowledge to share. In her extensive career, which has spanned across more than two decades, includes a wide range of experiences, spanning the corporate world of advertising and more recently in the Los Angeles entertainment industry as a digital designer for clients including Disney, Touchstone, Miramax, CBS, and Universal Pictures.
Like me, as the owner of Green Cleaning Products LLC, working in these often challenging environments ignited Melissa’s passion to effect a paradigm shift in the concept of work. She came full circle and returned to her desire to help people attain their greatest fulfillment. And she learned along the way that the best way to do this is by breaking the rules with conviction and confidence. Her work with clients is about owning what it means to be a leader in their own lives, to move through adversity unscathed, and to keep them accountable to living their dreams.
Melissa holds bachelor degrees in Psychology and Sociology and an Associate in Arts degree in Photography. She is also a Certified Professional Life and Business Coach. She is currently working on a post-graduate degree in the Neuroscience of Leadership Program through Middlesex University.
