Michael C. Ruppert has been announced as the keynote speaker! Ruppert, author of Confronting Collapse, will outline the connections between money and energy. This includes the ways that price spikes resulting from oil shortages triggered today’s economic situation. Ruppert argues that we are not, in fact, on the verge of economic recovery, but instead in real danger of collapse. His comments promise to be thought provoking! Michael C. Ruppert will speak at EarthWorks Expo on Sunday, May 23, starting at 12:30 pm.
Ruppert is an investigative journalist after his stint as a Los Angeles police officer. He is also the author of Confronting Collapse: The Crisis of Energy and Money in a Post Peak Oil World, A 25-Point Program for Action (2010), A Presidential Energy Policy (2009), and Crossing the Rubicon (2004). Ruppert founded the influential website “From the Wilderness” in 1998. You will find he stars in the new documentary film Collapse, that is screening in select theaters across the US.
