Cleaning, an oft dreaded, but necessary task. Since traditional cleaners can be so unhealthy and toxic, not only to the environment, but also to our own human health, we often seek natural green alternatives. As a result we are on a constant search for good quality green cleaning products, such as those provided by CleansGreen®.
Taking those thoughts one step further, if we can drink it and it can clean, certainly we should use it since it will be safe for both the environment and us. Even better this leads to a common myth that using Coca-Cola to clean your toilet is the way to go.
Coca Cola as a Cleaner is Misguided
Coke is acidic, so it could be effective at removing hard water stains. There is even some Science in Cleaning with Coca-Cola. Whilst it may seem like an interesting and a cost-effective idea, using a sugary substance to clean a toilet is not the smartest of ideas.
The citric acid works, but the sugar in Coca-Cola can be dangerous, as it attracts bacteria and stains may darken. There are many other options that are much better.
The CleansGreen® Bathroom Cleaning Kit has been designed specifically for your use. It contains an environmentally friendly cleaner concentrate along with a green color matched and coded plush terry type microfiber cloth.
The cleaner is highly concentrated where one ounce is perfectly diluted to a full quart size pray bottle for a ready-to-use cleaner. The bathroom cleaner is ideal for keeping basins, showers, bowls, urinals and washroom surfaces clean and fresh in one easy step. Its mild food-grade acidic formula removes soap film, body oils, make-up and mineral deposits from any washable surface without damage. This one-step cleaner cuts through grime and requires no rinsing.
Using a sprayer or hand bucket and sponge, simply apply the solution to the surface and wipe clean.
Chrome, stainless steel and other high gloss surfaces may be polished with your clean dry microfiber cloth, if desired. This also excels at removing those difficult stains from ceramic tile floors and grouting.
Ralph Waldo Emerson
Leveraging Ralph Waldo Emerson’s quote “The world laughs in flowers” as our mantra, using food as a cleaner sounds like the best of both worlds. The Bottom Line: Find something else, such as CleansGreen® products, because even the Coca-Cola website recommends using other options: “We don’t make any claims relating to uses other than as a beverage. Instead, we recommend using products specifically designed for cleaning or rust removal.”
